As part of the Akshara activities, Pratheeksha Charitable Trust joined hands with Srishti Innovative and Yogakshemasabha Pathanamthitta Yuvajanasabha to support students of Seethathodu Gurunathanmannu Tribal School.
The initiative focused on providing useful learning materials and toys to the children. The team distributed student kits filled with essential study items. The kits included notebooks, pencils, pens, colouring books, and crayons. Toys and sweets were also given to the students.
The programme aimed to bring joy to the children while supporting their learning needs. More importantly, it created an opportunity for volunteers and community members to spend meaningful time with the students.
A Meaningful Community Initiative
The programme brought together members and volunteers from different organisations. Their shared goal was to support children through care, encouragement, and useful resources.
The function was presided over by Mr. Sunil Kumar. Mr. V. S. Manohar Potty inaugurated the programme. The felicitation speeches were delivered by Mr. Sreejith, President of Yogakshemasabha Pathanamthitta Yuvajanasabha, and Mr. Vishnu Prasad M. V., Secretary of Pratheeksha Charitable Trust.
Ms. Rosamma, Senior Teacher, delivered the vote of thanks. She expressed appreciation for the support given to the school and its students.
Student Kits, Toys and Sweets
As part of the programme, the team distributed several useful items to the children. The student kits included notebooks, pencils, pens, colouring books, and crayons. These materials can support students in their regular classroom activities and creative learning.
In addition, the children received toys and sweets. These simple gifts added happiness to the occasion. The volunteers from Pratheeksha and Yogakshemasabha Yuvajanasabha also took part in the programme and helped make the event more engaging for the students.
Appreciation for the Support
Pratheeksha Charitable Trust expresses its sincere gratitude to Mr. Sreejith and his team for suggesting the school and helping coordinate the initiative. Their support also helped arrange the programme in a meaningful way.
Such collaboration shows how community organisations can work together to support children. When people share their time, resources, and ideas, even a small initiative can create a positive impact.
A Smile That Meant the Most
The most precious gift from the programme was not something that could be packed or carried. It was the wholehearted and innocent smile of the children.
Their happiness made the effort truly meaningful. The warm response from the school also encouraged everyone involved to continue supporting similar initiatives.
The school shared this heartfelt message after the programme:
“Such a wonderful experience.. thank you very much sir…. for giving this aids and support for our children?”
The words from the school were a valuable gesture of appreciation. More importantly, the children’s smiles reminded everyone that kindness and support can make a lasting difference.
Through initiatives like Akshara, Pratheeksha Charitable Trust continues to focus on creating opportunities for children and supporting their educational journey. This programme at Seethathodu Gurunathanmannu Tribal School was another meaningful step towards that goal.
